We have waited, prepared and waited some more. Now, he is here. It is a glorious day, the start of a joyful season of celebration!
It is, however, somewhat of a quiet entrance for me this year. Oddly enough for my family (I am pretty sure this is the first time ever), we had our large family gathering this past weekend instead of on Christmas Day. That means today will have a little less food, a little less presents and a little less craziness — not a typical Christmas Day for me. Perhaps, though, it will have a little more silence, a little more prayer time and a little more Christ. That is a beautiful thought indeed.
However you may be celebrating Christ’s birth today, I pray that it, too, will be full of joy and focused on our Savior. Enjoy family, friends and cheer, and welcome Christ into your hearts and home.
From myself and everyone at Our Sunday Visitor, Merry Christmas!
