Happy feast of St. Joseph!

In his General Audience today, Pope Francis told fathers to teach their children well and always be by their side. "I ask that you have the grace to be very close to your children, letting them grow, but being by their side. They need you, your presence, to be there, your love!" the pope told fathers present in St. Peter's Square.

Cardinal Dolan and other N.Y. bishops lobbied in Albany Tuesday for a tax credit that could help keep Catholic schools in the archdiocese open.

Bill Donahue, president of the Catholic League, has called for a boycott of Guinness, Heineken and Sam Adams for pulling their corporate sponsorship of the St. Patrick's Day parades in New York and Boston.
