New website offers contemporary design, easy use

This month we are marking a big milestone here at Our Sunday Visitor — the relaunch of our website It’s a project on which the members of our Web department have been hard at work for some time now. The finished product looks incredible, and we are excited for you to explore all that it has to offer.

So what does a new OSV website mean for you?

First, it means when you go to, you’ll see a cleaner, more inviting presentation, with a user-friendly navigation. OSV is a diverse company, and that diversity is reflected in the home page, which invites site visitors to peruse books and other products, browse content from our many periodicals and, of course, read plenty of Newsweekly articles.

Second, the landing pages and the article design for the Newsweekly itself offers a bolder, easier-to-read layout. Different pieces, such as columns from our regular contributors, news analyses and the heart of the Newsweekly, our detailed In Focus packages, are clearly accessible. OSV’s Twitter feed is integrated into the page, keeping you up-to-date on the latest news even as you look around the site.

Third, one of the most exciting developments about the new site is that not only will you be able to access content by publication or issue date, you will be able to browse the site using a topical navigation. This means articles on faith, the Church and, perhaps most critically, the many issues relevant to today have been categorized together based on subject matter. We hope this will lead to increased learning and, ultimately, growth in the Faith.

For you online shoppers, our separate e-commerce website has been completely redesigned and integrated into the new site. And for fans of our blog, OSV Daily Take, that, too, has been brought into the fold from a separate domain.

Finally, the site is built using responsive design, meaning that it integrates perfectly with any device, be it mobile, tablet or personal computer.

All content for the next several weeks will be accessible free of charge, so I invite you to explore our new online home. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do and that you will make OSV’s online community part of your daily routine.
