A missionary encounters Christ, lives Christ and gives Christ. This is the overwhelming message in the video below. While a promotion for a November missionary congress in Venezuela, it captures thought-provoking ideas about building a missionary culture, a culture of the Gospel that walks with others and is at the service of humanity.
"To be a missionary is, first of all, to truly believe in the love of God then to desire that everyone experience that love and pass it on," said Father Castor Alvarez from Cuba in the video.
"To be a missionary means feeling the passion of Christ, living it and wanting to communicate it to others with joy, with passion and happiness so that his message is better known and loved," said Father Rodolfo French Naar from Nicaragua in the video.
Mission work is not something only done in far off countries. This is the type of culture we can build at home, at work and in our community. We are all missionaries.
