Lent: A season of giving?

Prayer, fasting and almsgiving. Why do we do it? Lent is about looking at the Cross, at Christ’s gift of himself, and modeling that love in our own lives. It is about looking at our lives, realizing how small we are, acknowledging our failures and seeking the Lord’s help to grow — all so that we can give ourselves more fully to him and his Church. Make a gift of yourself this Lenten season.
