Mass Readings: Acts 9:31-42/John 6:60-69

You Are Not Alone

I’ve often wondered why Hollywood doesn’t make movies based on Acts. It has so much drama! (Like today’s first reading.) Peter is God’s instrument for healing a paralyzed man, and then for raising a woman from the dead.

God continues to heal people today. Often it’s through the medical community but it also can be through spiritual means, such as the sacrament of anointing of the sick. Miracles occur through its power, and they also occur simply through prayer. Where are you hurting these days? Your pain may be physical, emotional, spiritual, or relational. Whatever it is, you’re not alone. God is with you, reaching out to you. Sit with the Lord for a few minutes today; know that He is beside you, caring for you, loving you.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for never leaving me.
