Blessed are those who fear the Lord. — Psalm 128:1a
Mass Readings: Ephesians 5:21-33 or 5:2a,25-32 /Luke 13:18-21
Have you ever been involved in a project where, after much effort, everything just starts to flow? Things come together naturally, and while it remains in that good groove, it goes at least 10 times faster and better than when things are out of sync.
I’ve had several such experiences in my group work in school and ministry. Service projects soar. Meetings become life-giving enterprises instead of boring rituals. That kind of vigor is what I envision when I read in today’s parable on the mustard seed and the yeast. When I get in sync with what God is already doing, life seems to take on a whole new, expansive, enlivened nature. When God is in control and encounters no resistance, there’s really no limit to what can happen.
Prayer: Gracious Lord, allow me cooperate with Your Kingdom.
