Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel; he has come to his people. — Luke 1:68
Mass Readings: Galatians 3:1-5 / Luke 11:5-13
When I was little, my grandpa and I loved doing seek-and-find word puzzles. He showed me how to trace my finger up and down the columns of jumbled letters to find the first letter of the target word. Then he showed me how to look in each direction for the next letter until I found the whole word. Often I would get stuck and couldn’t find the hidden word. “It’s in there, just keep looking,” he always said, and he was right.
So it is in my spiritual journey. Sometimes my life seems full of columns of jumbled inputs, and I can’t find God among the mixed messages. In today’s Gospel, Jesus echoes my grandpa’s wisdom: “God is with you, you just have to keep looking,” and He’s right.
Prayer: God of the journey, help me to always seek and find You.
