My Daily Visitor Home
Do you ever feel at times that something or other is not meant to happen? Somehow you know in your gut that an expected outcome is not on the agenda. The time for it has not yet come. Someone is holding out on us for the moment. Maybe the time will come later, but not yet.
Jesus must have had a lot of those times. We hear it first at the marriage feast of Cana -- he told His mother His time for miracles had not yet come. And today's readings are another example. Jesus is under threat from His enemies, but He knows it is not the time for Him to die -- yet. When God ordains things, they happen. And until He does, I can rest in peace remembering He is in charge.
Lord, give me the peace that comes
from believing Your time is best.
