Many little girls grow up dreaming of becoming models. Kylie Bisutti, 21, achieved that dream, becoming one of lingerie giant Victoria’s Secret’s “angels,” posing in lacy bras and panties alongside the likes of Miranda Kerr and Adriana Lima.

But for the young woman, who was once named “America’s newest bombshell” by Maxim magazine after winning a Victoria’s Secret model search, prancing around in her skivvies didn’t square with her life as a Christian, especially after her marriage, and so she has left the high-coveted modeling gig. 

“I just became so convicted of honoring the Lord and my body and wanting to be a role model for other women out there who look up to me,” Bisutti told “Good Morning America” earlier this month. 

In a Twitter message to fans, the model explained in more detail her reasons for leaving: 

“My marriage is very important [and] with divorce rates rising I want to do everything I can to protect my marriage and be respectful to my husband. God graciously gave me this marriage and this life and my desire is to live a Godly faithful life ...” 

Bisutti has not turned her back on the modeling world, however, but in the future, she wants to focus on jobs that let her go about “honoring the Lord.”
