Teaching Catholic Kids September 2008
The Bible is Special
The U.S. bishops want us to take another look at the Bible. Not that we haven’t stopped looking at it. But, what can we do to really impress upon ourselves and our students that this book … this Book … is special?
Teaching Catholic Kids this month focuses on bringing the Bible into your kids' lives!
Remember that Catechetical Sunday is September 21 this year. The theme is "The Word of God in the Life and Mission of the Church." The USCCB has resources available. Find them by clicking here»

Prayer
Dear Lord Jesus, when You came, You said You were the Light. You said Your words would give us new light to see by. Your words are in the Bible. Show me how important the Bible is, Jesus. Give me the desire to have a Bible, to keep one in my room, to open it every day and read just a little. I want to see and understand with this new light, Your light.
