Father Reginald Martin, a Dominican priest, was ordained for the Order of Preachers in 1974. He has served his religious community as pastor, campus ministry director, and Vicar Provincial (assistant to the Dominicans' administrative superiors). He has written for Catholic Parent magazine and Homiletic and Pastoral Review, and served as editor for a number of books by his Dominican confreres, the most recent, "Preaching Justice: Dominican Contributions to Social Ethics in the Twentieth Century."
Father Martin presently directs the ministry of the Rosary Center, in Portland, Ore., which promotes devotion to the Mother of God, and provides rosaries for missionaries and religious leaders in some of the world's more obscure corners. He received undergraduate degrees in English and philosophy, and graduate degrees in theology and business administration. He enjoys travel (and is proud to have visited all the continents), book collecting and naval fiction relating to the Napoleonic Wars.
