The Polanski paradox

Posted in [by John Norton] By jnorton

British journalist and opinion writer Cristina Odone is one of the handful of commentators who have noted the ironic dissonance between how the cultural elites are treating convicted child rapist and filmmaker Roman Polanski — and how they treat Pope Benedict XVI.

“Here’s a maxim for Left-wing luvvies: Let’s treat the pope like a rapist, and treat a rapist like the pope,” she writes in this blog post for the Telegraph.

Meanwhile, Father Tim Finnigan on his Hermeneutic of Continuity blog has posted a parody similar to the thought experiment we posted yesterday. Only he does a much better job of it. Read “No extradition for priest-rapist” here.
