October 2006 Teacher Pattern

Angel in a Jar

Go to the extra effort this October to celebrate the Guardian Angels! Use Ann Ball’s directions in PDF format for an “Angel in a Jar” from Catholic Traditions in the Home and Classroom: 365 Days to Celebrate a Catholic Year.

Click here to download and print out the instructions.

Discuss why we need Guardian Angels and why God would have thought of “assigning” one to each of us. Does anyone know his/her angel’s name? Depending on the age of your students/children, deepen this conversation and be sure to give thanks for the protection of your angel as well as God’s loving Providence.
