Activity 2 November 2006

I’m Appreciated Charm

Use the “Juice Can Lid Charm” found in Beth McNamara’s Big Book of Ideas for Children’s Faith Formation to create “I’m Appreciated” Charms for the nice people in your program or family.

Direct students to follow directions for the charms – collecting juice-can lids and ribbons – but, instead of the stickers, direct them to write the words “I’m Appreciated” on the lid and decorate it with glitter, paint, markers, colored glue, etc. “Arm” each student with one, two, three, even four of these charms and send them out to gift those whom they spot doing something nice for others.
