God Listens to Our Children

Lord, Jesus, if there was one passage in the Bible that You would want me to read over and over, it would be [the part of] St. Paul’s letter to the Corinthians. St. Paul tells me what love is:

Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.

Let me write this verse and put it above my bed and read it every day. Amen.
