Dear Mary, on this feast of your Assumption, we celebrate that your body was taken directly to heaven instead of being buried and decaying. From the beginning, Mary, you were special, not so much because you got to be mother of Jesus, but because you said yes to God, over and over. Your life was centered on God -- doing His will and pleasing Him. Teach me how to center my life on Jesus, Mary. Teach me how to please your Son.
Dear Mary, I don't understand how you are portrayed in the book of Revelation, but I do know that you pleased God iwth your heart, with your actions, with your mind. Touch my heart, my ways, and my mind, O Mother of God, that I may please God and trust Him totally, as you did. Mary, Woman assumed body and soul into heaven, pray for us!
