Adults

This month’s “modern disciple” suggests disconnecting from things electronic in order to connect more deeply with the environment and each other. In what ways does that idea resonate with you?

In what ways are you intentionally “environmentally friendly”? How is that good stewardship?

What if you just can’t get away? In what ways are you a responsible “urban” steward”? What in your everyday environment refreshes and renews your spirit?

Teens

"Reduce, re-use, re-cycle,” is the mantra for today. In what ways are you putting it into practice? When you don’t, why don’t you?

When was the last time you were away from the busy-ness of your daily routine and out in a more “natural” setting – a park, a forest preserve, a wilderness area, the beach or a lake shore? How did it make you feel? Energized? Lost? Awed? Disconnected? Different people have different reactions. What are yours?

What if you just can’t get away? Is it possible to be “fully wired” and still be a good steward? In what ways?

Children

What plants and animals are there in your life? Do you have a pet or a garden? Do you have any responsibilities for caring for the pet or for tending or watering the garden?

Would you rather play outside or inside? Why? What is the best part of each place?
