"To instill a fully Christian spirit into readers, a truly Catholic press should be set up and encouraged" - Pope Paul VI

ABOUT US

CINS is Catholic Information and News Service bringing you news from all over the world, as seen from a loyal Catholic perspective. We are an independent, international, non-profit news agency committed to the dissemination of the Catholic Church's Message, especially the wealth of its Social Teaching, as a guide in addressing the issues of our time. We realize that this wealth is often under-reported or simply distorted in the world's media. The CINS Team is made up of consecrated Lay people, Priests and Religious of a dozen nationalities. CINS makes use of the electronic media to carry out its work with a centralized office.

VISION

Pope Paul VI in His encyclical INTER MIRIFICA reflects "The most important of the inventions are those media which, such as the press, movies, radio, television and the like, can, of their very nature, reach and influence, not only individuals, but the very masses and the whole of human society, and thus can rightly be called the media of social communication."

" The mass media can and must promote justice and solidarity according to an organic and correct vision of human development, by reporting events accurately and truthfully, analyzing situations and problems completely, and providing a forum for different opinions." insists Pope John Paul II in His Apostolic Letter THE RAPID DEVELOPMENT

AIM

The model that these Popes present to us is, in fact, the very heart and purpose of CINS's mission. "To spread and support the Kingdom of God" is our aim
Our Logo is Holy Spirit descending upon the True Church. This also explains "To Communicate with the Power of the Holy Spirit"

"The use of the techniques and the technologies of contemporary communications is an integral part of its mission in the third millennium." - Pope John Paul II
