Jesus Carries Our Burdens
Contemporary life is a great struggle for many people. We’re constantly besieged by various challenges, problems, and hurdles. These come in the form of health issues, financial distress, family troubles, and business woes to mention only a few. Because of His human nature, Jesus felt similar burdens and reached out to assist those similarly afflicted, like the leper encountered in today’s Gospel.
Jesus continues to assist us to bear the various crosses that come our way. We can be confident that the Lord will never abandon us in our daily walk with Him. As the famous “Footprints” poem states, it is in those most difficult times, when we think Jesus has left us, that He is actually carrying us and our burdens as well.
Prayer: Jesus, I place my trust and hope completely in You.
