Mass Readings: Exodus 12:37-42 / Matthew 12:14-21  

He Cured Them All 

“Many people followed Him and He cured them all.” Then He told them not to talk about it. I wonder how many talked anyway? Surely if you were part of a crowd of sick and troubled people, and someone cured all of you, you would at least talk among yourselves. Even those who tried their hardest not to place Him in danger from the Pharisees might remember the Psalm: “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good.” 

I suspect I might be one of those who didn’t talk — not because of the Lord’s warnings, but because of some failure to “give credit where credit is due.” How often do I say, “I was lucky,” or “Everything worked out,” instead of praising God for His blessings? I need to remember to “make Him known.”
